We pride ourselves in being an exceptional clinic where children come first. Our child-focused practice works hard to meet the needs of children from infancy through adolescence. All of our pediatricians and medical staff are highly trained professionals, and maintain the highest level of accreditation in pediatrics to address the special needs of infants, children, and teens.

  • Saqib Masood
    Saqib Masood, MD, FAAP

    Dr. Masood was born in Sargodha, Pakistan.  His early education was at AngloUrdu Boys Secondary School, Baldia Town, Karachi.  He attended Adam Jee Gov’t Science College, Karachi, for his premedical school diploma and Dow Medical College, Karachi, Pakistan for his medical education.

    He completed three years of Pediatric residency at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center in Bronx, NY.  He did a one year fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology and Metabolism at North Shore University Hospital – NYU School of Medicine in Manhasset, NY.

    Dr. Masood joined The Children’s Doctor in May 2004.

    He is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and a fellow of the Amercian Academy of Pediatrics.

    His medical interests are growth failure, diabetes mellitus, thyroid diseases, obesity, precocious and delayed puberty, polycystic ovarian syndrome, menstrual irregularities, and short stature.

    He enjoys tennis, going to the park and the movies, and spending time with his family.

    He is married and has four sons.

    Vandana Sajankila, MD, FAAP

    Dr. Sajankila was born in Kerala, India.  Her early education was in Kerala. She attended Kharkov Medical University in the Ukraine where she received her MD.  She practiced for 5 years in India and then moved to the

    United States.  She attended Michigan State University in Lansing, Michigan where she received her USA training in pediatrics.

    She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

    Dr. Sajankila joined The Children’s Doctor in November 2007.

    Her special professional interests are in the fields of genetics and dermatology.

    Her leisure interests include music, reading books, and she is an avid football fan.

    She is married and has two children.

  • Vanessa Geyer
    Vanessa Geyer, CRNP

    Vanessa was born and raised in Marshalltown, Iowa. She starting her nursing career in Iowa as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 2010. She moved to Maryland in 2011 where she started advancing her career in the nursing profession.

    She received an Associate's Degree in Nursing from Hagerstown Community College in 2013 and a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing degree from Shepard University in 2016. She earned a Master's degree as a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner from Purdue Global University in 2019. She has worked as a nurse for the past 9 years in a variety of different healthcare settings, including working for our local hospital Meritus Medical Center. She has enjoyed working with different populations and being able to care for people in the community. Overall, her career goal was to work with pediatrics.

    Vanessa joined The Children's Doctor in October 2019. She is board certified with The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She has a unique personal interest in physical health and wellness. She is married with three little girls. She enjoys spending time with her family - doing things likes swimming, baking cookies, watching movies, and traveling to Walt Disney World. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and scrapbooking.

    She is looking forward to pursuing her career in pediatrics and a long career with The Children's Doctor.

  • Rachel Hassan
    Rachel Hassan, CRNP

    Rachel was born and raised in Passaic, New Jersey from Hispanic parents. She married a military soldier and was stationed in El Paso TX where she received an Associate’s degree in Nursing from El Paso Community College. It was there she initiated her nursing career as a labor and delivery nurse. In 2001 she relocated to Wurzburg Germany and worked at a military hospital in a Family Birthing Center for four years. In 2005 her spouse received orders to move to Maryland where she continued to be a labor and delivery nurse while pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Regis University. In 2016 she continued to further her education and received a Master’s degree in Nursing Education from Walden University. Recently, in 2022, she graduated from Purdue University with a Family Nurse Practitioner, Primary Care Post Graduate certificate and is nationally board-certified with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She is also credentialed in Inpatient Obstetrics Nursing (RNC-OB).

    Rachel has over 22 years of nursing experience as a labor and delivery nurse and has spent the last five years as a Nurse Educator for new employee orientation at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown, MD. She has also served as an OB Clinical Instructor for Hagerstown Community College and Towson University inspiring and providing the needed education and support to nursing students. Rachel is a member of several professional organizations including the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS), Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing and she is bilingual fluent in both English and Spanish.

    Rachel joined The Children’s Doctor in April 2023.

    Rachel is married, has two sons, two grandchildren, a Yorkie and loves spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys cooking, traveling and bike riding.

    Her expertise and passion has been in women’s and newborn health and her transition into the pediatrics setting is a natural fit and is looking forward to working with the pediatric population at The Children’s Doctor for many years to come.

  • YUSRAAHMED
    Yusra Ahmed, PA-C

    Yusra was born in Athens, GA and moved to Hagerstown when she was 5 years old. She attended St. Mary's Catholic School for elementary and middle school, and went to St. James for high school. Upon graduation from high school, she decided to attend University of Maryland Baltimore County for her undergraduate career and received a Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Biology and Psychology in 2020. 

    While preparing to apply to Physician Assistant programs, Yusra earned her clinical experience while working as a medical assistant at The Children's Doctor for 6 months. She then attended Frostburg State University to receive her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies and graduated in May 2023. 

    Yusra joined The Children's Doctor in August 2023. She is board certified with the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

    Her special interests include increasing the overall well-being of children, striving to make medical knowledge more understandable to youth, and empowering kids to feel empowered in their health.

    Yusra is married. She enjoys reading books, watching K-Dramas and movies, listening to BTS, eating out, traveling, playing tennis and spending time with her cats, family and friends.
