We pride ourselves in being an exceptional clinic where children come first. Our child-focused practice works hard to meet the needs of children from infancy through adolescence. All of our pediatricians and medical staff are highly trained professionals, and maintain the highest level of accreditation in pediatrics to address the special needs of infants, children, and teens.

Saqib Masood, MD, FAAP
Dr. Masood was born in Sargodha, Pakistan. His early education was at AngloUrdu Boys Secondary School, Baldia Town, Karachi. He attended Adam Jee Gov’t Science College, Karachi, for his premedical school diploma and Dow Medical College, Karachi, Pakistan for his medical education. He completed three years of Pediatric residency at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center in Bronx, NY. He did a one year fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology and Metabolism at North Shore University Hospital – NYU School of Medicine in Manhasset, NY. Dr. Masood joined The Children’s Doctor in May 2004. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and a fellow of the Amercian Academy of Pediatrics. His medical interests are growth failure, diabetes mellitus, thyroid diseases, obesity, precocious and delayed puberty, polycystic ovarian syndrome, menstrual irregularities, and short stature. He enjoys tennis, going to the park and the movies, and spending time with his family. He is married and has four sons. |
Vandana Sajankila, MD, FAAP Dr. Sajankila was born in Kerala, India. Her early education was in Kerala. She attended Kharkov Medical University in the Ukraine where she received her MD. She practiced for 5 years in India and then moved to the United States. She attended Michigan State University in Lansing, Michigan where she received her USA training in pediatrics. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Sajankila joined The Children’s Doctor in November 2007. Her special professional interests are in the fields of genetics and dermatology. Her leisure interests include music, reading books, and she is an avid football fan. She is married and has two children. |

Amy Pelfrey, CPNP, PC Amy Pelfrey was born in Inwood, West Virginia. She grew up in the Eastern panhandle of West Virginia and has lived there for most of her life, with the exception of the time she spent as a traveling nurse early on in her career. She currently resides in Falling Waters, WV with her husband Daniel whom she married on May 21, 2016. Together they have one son, Hudson, born on August 9, 2019. Amy began her career as a nurse. She worked in the realm of adult trauma for one year before making the switch to acute pediatric care for the next six years. She has garnered much experience in different hospitals across the nation, including Children’s National Medical Center, St. Louis Children’s Hospital in Missouri and Frederick Memorial Hospital. Amy attended Shepherd University and received her BSN in 2006. She obtained her graduate degree from West Virginia University in 2014. Amy joined The Children’s Doctor in October 2014. She is board certified with The American Nurses Association. She has a particular interest in pediatric asthma and allergies and will be happy to consult with families who have children with these diagnoses. She is an avid sports fan and enjoys watching the Orioles in Baltimore as well as the Mountaineers of West Virginia University. In addition, she enjoys cooking, reading and traveling with her family. |

Pamela She initially worked as a nurse with her Licensed Practical Nurse degree but after awhile, she decided to further her education . Realizing that she wanted to move beyond LPN responsibilities, she attended Frostburg State University and received her Bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2014. She then proceeded to Shenandoah University in Winchester VA, earning her Master’s degree and graduating as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Pam has over 15 years of experience as a pediatric nurse with Meritus Medical Center and Children’s National Medical Center. Besides her pediatric nursing experience, she has worked as a nurse in both emergency rooms and urgent care centers. She has special interests in the management of attention deficit hyperactive disorder and in the prevention and treatment of childhood obesity. Pam has two adult daughters, grandchildren, and several animals. She enjoys spending time with her family, riding her “Hog” (Harley Davidson Motorcycle,) photographing the world around her, and scrapbooking. |

Vanessa Geyer, CRNP She received an Associate's Degree in Nursing from Hagerstown Community College in 2013 and a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing degree from Shepard University in 2016. She earned a Master's degree as a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner from Purdue Global University in 2019. She has worked as a nurse for the past 9 years in a variety of different healthcare settings, including working for our local hospital Meritus Medical Center. She has enjoyed working with different populations and being able to care for people in the community. Overall, her career goal was to work with pediatrics. Vanessa joined The Children's Doctor in October 2019. She is board certified with The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She has a unique personal interest in physical health and wellness. She is married with three little girls. She enjoys spending time with her family - doing things likes swimming, baking cookies, watching movies, and traveling to Walt Disney World. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and scrapbooking. She is looking forward to pursuing her career in pediatrics and a long career with The Children's Doctor. |
